UEFA Men’s Coach of the Year 2021

Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea Coach has been awarded the UEFA Men’s Coach of the Year for the 2020/21 season.

Tuchel defeated Roberto Mancini and Josep Guardiola to become the second German to win the accolade, following Hansi Flick, who won the first award for 2019/20. The prize winner was announced in Istanbul at the UEFA Champions League group stage draw for the 2022/23 season.

Tuchel oversaw a remarkable turnaround at Chelsea after taking over from Frank Lampard on January 26th, leading the club to their second UEFA Champions League victory and A UEFA Super Cup Win. With a runner-up finish with Paris Saint-Germain in 2019/20, he also became the first coach to reach consecutive finals with different clubs.
